Welcome to the St Olave’s Prep School website which is intended to give you a flavour of the education the children experience at our school.

We offer an exceptionally high quality of education provided by a team of skilled, motivated, and dedicated teachers and support staff. The curriculum is broad and well balanced and enriched by a varied and interesting programme of extra-curricular clubs and activities.

St Olave’s is a co-educational school for children aged from 3 to 11 years old.  We offer pupils a broad, rounded education in a happy and caring environment, where their pastoral needs, happiness and wellbeing are of paramount importance.  The positive, family atmosphere, with small classes and excellent staff:pupil ratios, is well-established and one of the school’s notable strengths. It is testament to the mutual respect shared between children and teachers and the close partnership we develop between home and school.

Pupils’ excellent social awareness is underpinned by the fundamental kindness that permeates the school

ISI June 2019

Throughout the school we promote an atmosphere where a high level of achievement is valued. We foster the values of Compassion, Commitment, Curiosity, Collaboration, Courage and Creativity.  We aim to create a sense of happiness and warmth in which children are motivated to work and play to the best of their abilities. Both inside and outside the classroom, we generate a sense of vitality based on the principle that learning is fun.

We teach children to think for themselves and they flourish academically in an environment that encourages resilience and risk taking.  St Olave’s is a welcoming community where enjoyment is an essential part of the school day and where each child feels valued, happy and stimulated. We are a very happy school where there is an absolute commitment to providing the children with first-class education and pastoral care.

I warmly welcome you to come and see the school in action, where you will find out for yourselves why our children are so happy.  I look forward to meeting you in due course.
