Focused on the core and foundation subjects that are taught separately, our broad academic curriculum is enhanced with opportunities for personal development.
The Upper School consists of 4 Year groups Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 with 2 classes in each. We focus on the core and foundation subjects that are taught as separate subjects. Our broad academic curriculum is enhanced with opportunities for personal development. Extra-curricular activities and leadership roles through our House system help prepare pupils for the secondary stage of their education.
Educational trips, residential field trips and an activity holiday for Year 6 all enhance the children’s learning experience. Maths is taught in ability sets and pupils’ progress in maths, English and Reasoning is closely monitored with the use of standardised National Foundation for Education Research tests.
We employ a qualified teacher as an Individual Educational Needs Co-ordinator. Children with learning difficulties are supported as well as those with exceptional academic ability who follow a differentiated teaching programme that allows them to deliver to the very best of their abilities.
