Music, Dance and Drama
We offer a number of additional lessons for children who are particularly interested in music and performance. Our specialist teachers help children develop skills and confidence in their particular subject. Pupils have the opportunity to sit examinations and they are all encouraged to take part in competitions and shows. The cost of these lessons is additional to the academic fees.
Our experienced instrumental tutors who are themselves solo performers offer individual classical guitar and piano lessons. School concerts give the children a taste of performing to an audience. Many children also choose to take lessons in ballet, tap and speech and drama.
Touch Type Read and Spell Course
We offer the Touch Type Read and Spell (TTRS) course. Using a multi-sensory approach the lessons aim to build keyboard confidence. Children progress at their own pace and spelling, reading, short-term memory, co-ordination and concentration are all improved. Fully trained course tutors provide weekly lessons after school. The cost of these lessons is additional to the academic fees.
