The school buzzes with activity and endeavour in a wide variety of sporting, musical, dramatic and other activities
— Independent Schools Inspectorate, June 2010

At St Olave’s we know how beneficial new experiences for children can be and that is why we strive to give a wide variety of extra-curricular activities to our pupils. Whether taking place during a lunchtime or after school, St Olave’s staff or external specialist instructors give the pupils a wide range of choices to broaden their horizons. Clubs are offered to all, regardless of ability, for year groups from Reception to Year 6. Some clubs are offered free of charge while others require payment due to specialist coaching and equipment.

We have a variety of sporting clubs ranging from team sports such as football, tag rugby and cricket to other pursuits such as kayaking, sailing, cycling and skateboarding. In addition there are opportunities to develop language, debating.

We have always offered a wide variety of musical activities for the children to become involved with, including a School Choir, St Olave’s Singers (SOS), Chamber Choir, Jazz Group, Music Theory Club and Hand Bells. Our aim is to enjoy making music together of the highest quality.

Private 30-minute instrumental lessons are also offered on the Guitar, Piano and Violin. We have a highly qualified and dedicated team who teach within the school day on a rotating timetable.
