St Olave’s is a school rich with history, colour and vision. Opening its doors in 1932 the school’s first Head Mistress was a dedicated teacher with an educational ethos far ahead of the times. She believed firmly in a broad, child-centred education where self-expression and freedom of thought were encouraged. She challenged her pupils to exceed their expectations in every field of endeavour. Her vision and values remain true to the school today nearly 80 years later.
2007 was a very special year for St Olave’s as we celebrated our 75th Anniversary. Every pupil had a part to play in the many events, activities and performances we produced to mark this special occasion. The school has always played an important role in the local community and during our Anniversary year we were able to reach out to many more members of the community.
