St Olave’s is firmly established as an important member of the local community both in participating in local events and in using the local facilities. We are regular visitors to the library and local places of worship and take full advantage of the excellent, year-round sports facilities. Our pupils demonstrate respect and consideration for residents and the local environment. We have developed a number of long-standing relationships with local churches and charities and are often involved in fund-raising activities.
All Saints’ Church

All Saints’ Church plays a central role in St Olave’s school life as we hold our Christmas Carol Service, Easter Concert and Summer Concert in this lovely setting. In addition to this the Rev. Rose regularly gathers pupils into the church for a whole school assembly. Our Harvest Festival and other celebrations also take place here with such great community access.
Stephen Jota Centre

Our Evening of Music in the summer term raises money for the Stephen Jota Children’s Centre in Uganda. We have also established a ‘Drop it in the Drum’ scheme where children are encouraged to put pennies and small change into the drum as they arrive in the morning. This enables us to sponsor two children to attend the Stephen Jota Centre. We have organised a number of major fund raising events to support the Centre. Our current goal is to provide the funds for building and equipping a nursery at the centre.
