Year 4 visit the British Museum

This was a fascinating visit in which all of us learnt a great deal about Ancient Greece.

In the morning, the children explored galleries in small groups so that they could learn about an aspect of Greek life that they had chosen.  After lunch, the children took part in a role-play.  King Darius of Persia offered the Athenians the chance to join his great Persian Empire.  The children had to weigh up the pros and cons then decide whether to accept his offer or to risk war with Persia...
