Year 2 cooking pancakes

Year 2 have been busy learning how to cook pancakes in their Design and Technology lessons.

The children were split into groups to prepare the batter, some measuring the milk, some mixing the flour and others cracking the eggs. It was a real team effort. After this was all completed came the really fun part of cooking and flipping the pancakes.

There were some very brave children who tried to flip the pancakes without dropping them on the floor! The children even had time to cook some extra pancakes for the Nursery staff on duty in the playground. They were extremely pleased to have some food to warm them up!
