The provision of food at St Olave's Prep is provided by Holroyd Howe who work closely with us to tailor menus to the tastes and preferences of our pupils. Our catering team understands that what children eat affects their health and their ability to learn and perform in the classroom and on the sports field.

Our catering team creates nutritious, balanced meals on-site, and they work to educate the children on how to make healthier food choices. Their goal is to instil a love and understanding of fresh, healthy food at a young age that will positively influence them throughout life.

Our chef manager introduces further interest and excitement to menus through themed lunches and dinners ranging from holidays like Eid and Christmas to cuisines from around the world, tying these into the school curriculum whenever possible in a fun and stimulating way.

Holroyd Howe has a comprehensive food allergen and intolerance process and the catering team work closely with children and their families to address individual dietary needs.

Children and staff eat lunch in the dining room where they can choose from a wide selection of hot main meals, freshly prepared salad bar including deli items, soup, hot and cold puddings and fresh fruit daily. Vegetarian options are available daily and special dietary needs are catered for as a matter of course.

Children using our morning wraparound care are provided with a variety of cooked breakfast items daily, alongside yoghurt, fresh fruit and healthy cereals and porridge.  A light tea is provided for those who stay after school.
