France Day 4

Today has been glorious! The sun has been shining on our on site activities and the children have been constantly on the move. Each group have rotated to complete the activities they had yet to do.

Encouraged by the sunshine and an element of ‘pester power’, Miss Brown and Madame Banfield both found themselves on the lake this afternoon, kayaking and paddle boarding. Mrs White preferred to keep her boat firmly on land whilst Mrs Rivero waited eagerly with the camera!

The children have been rating the activities and it seems that firm favourites have been the obstacle course and the crate stacking.

This evening we will be doing our final activity of orienteering before attempting to repack everything into our cases… This may turn out to be the trickiest part of the whole week!

We shall be leaving the chateau shortly after breakfast and heading straight to the sweet shop where we will be given a demonstration on how traditional sweets are made, with a French commentary! We will then visit the beach before heading back through the tunnel, so wish us more sunshine for that!

We’re looking forward to seeing you all again tomorrow afternoon. Parents will receive a message from the school office when we have emerged from the tunnel to give our ETA at school.

See you all tomorrow!
