Year 4 Residential Day 2

The rounders game last night saw some great team work from the fielders -with some spectacular catches!  Just in case the children weren’t thoroughly tired, we had a big race at the end across the huge field.  After walking back to the centre through the woods, the children tidied their rooms and had a shower.    We then relaxed with the film ‘Sing’ -great for singing along together!

This morning, everyone ate an impressive amount at breakfast.  The cooked breakfast, cereal and toast all went down well -a surprising number of children had a ‘grown-up’ drink of tea as well (dispensed from a traditional tea pot containing a single giant tea bag by Mrs O’Sullivan).

We explored the path along the River Medway which is very much like a beach, due to the tidal nature of this part of the river.  Next we will be building rockets, then doing bush craft and high ropes today.

The children enjoyed opening your cards today and will be spending their money at the shop this evening.  The weather has been perfect —sunny but not too hot.

We are looking forward to seeing you back at school tomorrow afternoon.
