Year 4 Residential Day 1

The journey to Rochester was quick (under 40 minutes) and the children were eager to find out who they would be sharing their rooms with.  They did very well at putting their own duvet covers and pillow cases on and unpacked their things.  We discovered that the order for the activities would be slightly different from the original plan, due to the tide times of the river.

After lunch, the children enjoyed some free time in the playground.  Then it was time to walk along the River Medway to Upnor Castle.  We learnt about the successful Dutch raid that took place there, explored the castle and dressed up.

We hope that all of you at home are well and will update you again tomorrow!
