Year 2 cooking sea biscuits

This morning, Year 2 were busy cooking again.

This time it was to link in with our work on Christopher Colombus.  The sailors on the boats which went to the Bahamas, ate sea biscuits. Their biscuits were not quite as nice as ours, especially with maggots in them! The children also cooked some shortbread to counter the salt in the sea biscuits. Needless to say, neither set lasted very long with some ravenous young mouths devouring them!
