Chinese New Year Celebrations

A big thank you to our Chinese New Year 'Teachers' who taught the whole school a huge amount about Chinese New Year. 

Each ‘Teacher’ visited a year group to talk about their celebrations and culture.  The 'Teachers' had prepared presentations for their classes and brought in items to talk about.  The children enjoyed the opportunity to ask questions and learnt a huge amount from our super 'Teachers'.  In the playground the children enjoyed playing Chinese games such as 'Cat and Mouse' and 'Catch the Dragon's Tail' and they took part in many activities including origami, making Chinese dragons, solving Chinese New Year mathematical investigations, creating a dragon dance and much, much more!  A super time was had by all.  Kung Hei Fat Choi!
